Active Schools East Ayrshire, in partnership with SportScotland, helps people of all ages and abilities lead healthier, more active lives. We deliver a wide range of engaging programmes before, during and after school, as well as activities across the wider community.

Leadership
Ready to develop your leadership skills? The Active Schools Leadership Programme is your first step into coaching, organising and youth leadership.

- Mentorship from Active Schools Co-ordinators
This programme helps young people grow in confidence and become positive role models in their schools and communities.

Friday Night Football
Friday Night Football offers free football for all 12 to 18 year old across seven locations throughout East Ayrshire. The aim of the sessions is to offer the opportunity for young to keep active, socialise with friends and engage in a positive activity at the end of the week. It is part of Ayrshire 360s commitment to youth sport, wellbeing and diversionary activity, supporting young people to be active, connected and confident.
The programme includes:
- Small sided games and free space
- A relaxed and inclusive environment
- Opportunity to meet friends and build confidence
- Support from trained community sport staff
Sessions take place at:
Cumnock Townhead Park - 1.30pm -4pm
Rose Reilly Sports Centre - 3.30pm – 5.30pm
Muirkirk Astro - 3.30pm - 5pm
Loudoun Leisure Centre - 5.30pm -7pm
Doon Valley Leisure Centre - 7pm - 9pm
Grange Leisure Centre - 7.30pm -9.30pm
St Joseph's - 7.30pm -9.30pm
Competitive School Sport
Competitive School Sport gives children and young people the chance to represent their school, develop skills and take part in inspiring inter- school events. Delivered through strong partnerships between Ayrshire360, local clubs, community organisations and national governing bodies, the programme offers high quality competitions across a range of sports. From large scale events such as Sportshall Athletics and Cross Country to sports specific festivals and leagues, pupils experience challenge and teamwork while building conference and a lifelong connection to sport.
