The library, which has recently reloacted to Galston Town Hall, offer a fantastic range of books for readers of all ages — from fiction and poetry to photography, art, reference titles, graphic novels, and much more.mIf you can’t find what you’re looking for, our team is always happy to help through our request service.

But our libraries are about more than just books.....they are community spaces to bring people together and host a range of social activities - book groups, art groups, knitting groups, workshops and much more. They are a place for education and life long learning with digital access, skills training and areas to work or study. 

Members can also access a wide selection of eBooks, eNewspapers, and eMagazines through our library apps and with our online catalogue, it’s easy to renew, reserve, and manage your loans at any time.

Membership is free and open to everyone, including visitors to East Ayrshire.

• Adults can borrow up to 8 books and 6 audiobooks
• Children and young people can borrow up to 5 books and 2 audiobooks

To join, simply complete a membership form and provide two forms of ID (one showing your signature, and one showing your name and address — a photographic driving licence covers both). Memberships for young people must be guaranteed by a parent or guardian.

Membership also gives you access to BorrowBox, your on‑the‑go digital library. Download the free app from the App Store or Google Play and enjoy your favourite authors anytime, anywhere. You can also explore a wide range of eNewspapers and eMagazines through the Libby app.
